Teacher’s guides for Wilmary Christian Learning Centre
On 19 February, Primedia Outdoor presented Wilmary Christian Learning Centre with some 89 teacher’s guides and textbooks. With approval from the local municipality, Primedia Outdoor’s Rights & Acquisitions Executive, Kennedy Tshabalala handed over the books requested by the school, during a small but jubilant event.
Located in Midoroni Village, Makhado, in the Limpopo province, Wilmary Christian Learning Centre has one of the highest matric pass rates in the circuit, which encompasses some 14 secondary schools. This achievement was one reason why the school was selected by Primedia Outdoor, who have an ongoing policy of contributing to the communities within which they operate.
Said Kennedy Tshabalala, “We are delighted to play a part in uplifting schools like Wilmary Christian Learning Centre and look forward to seeing the school achieve even higher results in future.”
In addition to the school’s staff and pupils, the event was attended by Mr Davhana from the Makhado municipality, a representative from the Tribal office, and the school’s principal, Mr L. Hatuugari.
“We are very grateful for the teacher’s guides and textbooks”, Mr Hatuugari said, adding that the contribution was “very helpful, and can assist our staff in teaching effectively”.
