Primedia Outdoor proudly announces the promotion of Kagisho Pooe to the role of General Manager for the Rest of Africa (ROA) division. Having joined Primedia in 2011, Kagisho has been an indispensable member of the team, showcasing his commitment and expertise in various capacities.

Kagisho’s journey with Primedia commenced in 2011 as the Editor and Assistant Production Manager at Comutanet. Recognising his potential, he assumed the position of Accounts Manager at Primedia Outdoor in 2013, and was subsequently appointed to the position of Adlites Sales Manager where he consistently displayed outstanding leadership.  During his tenure as Adlites Sales Manager the roadside directional signage product offering saw growth in a saturated market.  Kagisho’s inclusive and transparent approach to leadership and client satisfaction at the centre of each Out of Home campaign, actively led to this success and he will take the experience earned forward in his new role. 

In his new capacity as General Manager for ROA, Kagisho Pooe will play a pivotal role in charting and executing strategic initiatives. His responsibilities encompass the development and implementation of a growth strategy, across eight markets ensuring the seamless implementation of projects, and the acquisition of new sites in alignment with the agreed-upon strategy.

His purview not only includes overseeing projects but also extends to meticulous financial management and proactive market growth measures based on financial data insights.

Primedia Outdoor has been fully operational in Botswana, Namibia, eSwatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia & Nigeria for over 12 years and in that time has established offices and operational teams of over 76 talented individuals which Kagisho will now lead. 

Known for his love of people and passion for the Out of Home industry, Kagisho will be the key architect in strengthening relationships with advertising partners based in South Africa and across the region.

Kagisho took up his new position as of 01 October 2023 and reports directly to the COO, Rest of Africa.
