Primedia Outdoor Sets New Standard with Toyota’s First LED Billboard on Their Own Property
Primedia Outdoor, a prominent outdoor advertising company operating in Africa, has achieved a remarkable milestone by successfully erecting Toyota’s inaugural LED billboard on its property. This ground-breaking endeavour not only signifies a significant achievement for Primedia Outdoor but also represents their outright acquisition and installation of an LED billboard on a client’s premises.
The implementation of this project involves a structured sequence of pivotal steps. It commences with a thorough site assessment conducted by a qualified engineer, followed by inspections from both the engineer and a certified land surveyor to ensure compliance with all pertinent regulatory requirements. Subsequently, an application is submitted to the City Council for plan approvals and the necessary permissions for erecting the billboard at the designated site. Technical structural drawings are then furnished by the engineer to facilitate the manufacturing of the LED screen and the procurement of the required equipment. The steel structure of the billboard is manufactured, and the designated site is prepared for installation. The steel structure is then erected, followed by the installation of the LED display. Finally, the configuration and activation of the billboard are executed.

The project encompassed various stages such as council approvals, the ordering and shipping of LED components, fabrication, installation, electrical and final engineer’s sign-off including certification of completion.
Primedia Outdoor augments the value proposition with a comprehensive Service Level Agreement that encompasses maintenance, call-outs, repairs, after-hour services, content production, and technological upgrades.
The Toyota billboard showcases an Absen LED display, model A1021, with a P10 LED pitch. The screen measures 3m x 12m. This advanced technology empowers dynamic content presentation, allowing high-quality digital screens to display moving video content in any environment.
Positioned in Ward 23, Northern Region, on private property at Erf 1740, Parkhaven Extension 5, adjacent to Atlas Road near the intersection with Merlin Drive, Boksburg, this billboard serves as a testament to Primedia Outdoor’s successful completion of this project for Toyota.
